LEGAL NOTICE

TOWN OF WESTBROOK

The legal voters of the Town of Westbrook, Connecticut and all others qualified to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Multi Media Room of the Teresa Mulvey Municipal Center, 866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT on October 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. to act on the following matters:

Item 1.  To consider and act upon the following resolution, as recommended by the BOS and BOF:

RESOLVED:  That the First Selectman is hereby authorized to accept funds from the Connecticut Water Company in the amount of $86,365.00 as reimbursement for paving costs associated with the water main installation on McVeagh Road.  Funds to be appropriated into the revenue account associated with the Capital Paving Projects.

Item 2.  To consider and act upon the following resolution:

RESOLVED:  That pursuant to the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen and the Planning Commission, the First Selectman is hereby authorized to execute a certain lot line adjustment and easement between the Town of Westbrook and Jonathan and Karen Howard concerning town owned property located at 53 Old Clinton Road and land known as “Kirtland Landing”, shown on Assessor Map 172 as Lot, 002.  A copy of the agreement and survey is on file with the Town Clerk for public inspection.

Item 3.   To consider and act upon a proposed amendment to Chapter 18 of the Westbrook Code of Ordinances to amend Article II, Sections 18-21 through 18-25 by deleting said sections and inserting new Sections 18-21 through 18-28 in their place, concerning the Water Pollution Control Authority.  A copy of the proposed amendments is on file with the Town Clerk for public inspection.
