Public Input Sought For Town Plan
WESTBROOK–The Westbrook Plan Update Committee has scheduled a public input session to get input from residents, businesses and property owners as part of updating the 2011 Plan of Conservation and Development for Westbrook. The public meeting is scheduled for:

Following the public meeting, the Plan Update Committee will review the comments received and further refine the Draft Plan of Conservation and Development before forwarding it to the Planning Commission for adoption. It is anticipated that the Planning Commission will schedule a public hearing on adoption for May or June of 2021.
The main themes of the Plan include:
Key initiatives (coastal resiliency, Town Center, and housing diversity)
Sustainable community (overall sustainability, resiliency)
Vibrant economy (business development, residential development, tourism)
Healthy environment (natural resources, open space, coastal resources, character)
Solid foundation(community facilities, transportation, utilities)
A Plan of Conservation and Development is an advisory document used by the Planning Commission and other Town agencies to guide growth and change in Westbrook.
Westbrook residents are encouraged to come to the meeting to help ensure that the Plan of Conservation and Development reflects community goals.
