A message from Deidre S. Gifford, MD, MPH Acting Commissioner, Connecticut Department of Public Health:

Today, we’re launching "COVID Alert CT", an exposure notification app that can let you know if you have been exposed to COVID-19 – all without disclosing any of your personal information.

This app is only as successful as the number of people who download it. That’s why it’s critical that as many people as possible make sure the app is on their phone – especially in these first few days, and we need your support. Please share this information with your communities.

As you likely know – a number of other states have already launched the application with the support of Apple and Google, and the APHL (Association of Public Health Laboratories) - and all of these applications work with CT’s. More information about what other states are participating in the program can be found on the APHL website.

Connecticut has made the app available in multiple languages, and is available both on Android and iPhone.

Download it from the Google Play Store, or learn how to enable the app through the settings on your iPhone.

Find out more, and learn how to download, or set up the app at ct.gov/covidalertct.
