Notice_Board_Yellow_Sticky

DATE:    August 24, 2020

TO:        All Interested  Parties

FROM:  First Selectman  Bishop

RE:        Face book Posting - Fire Chief

This  is in  response to your written inquiry concerning Chief Jenkins’  post.  As the attached agenda indicates, the Board of Selectmen will meet this afternoon at 4:30 in  Executive Session  ("Executive Session - Personnel  Matter involving the conduct of a  Public Works employee - invited -Attorney Jiran, Labor Counselor’’).  Like all Executive Sessions on personnel  issues, the public is not able to attend or participate.  All of your comments have been, or will be submitted to the Board of Selectmen for the meeting at 4:30 p.m.

Since any Executive Session must be convened  in  Public Session, any interested individuals can enter the Mulvey  Municipal Center at the Main  Entrance,  North end of the building (near the Constable’s office) and assemble in the Multi  Purpose  Room.  All other doors to the Mulvey Center will be locked.  The Board of Selectmen will convene the meeting in this public forum and  immediately adjourn to a
separate  room for the Executive Session.  At the conclusion of the Executive Session  meeting, the Board of Selectmen will once again adjourn the meeting in the Multi Purpose  Room  and comment as appropriate.

Finally, our Health  Director strongly encourages you to maintain the proper social distancing and the wearing of masks when you are in the Multi Purpose  Room.  Please do not enter any other area of the Mulvey Center since we are still strictly adhering to CDC guidelines for Covid-19.

Thank you for your cooperation.
