2023 Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program


Farmers Market

 

The Connecticut Department of Agriculture provides income-eligible older adults (60+) with electronic benefit cards that can be exchanged for items at farmers’ markets. 

Eligibility Guidelines: The individual is 60 years of age or older, OR is a disabled individual under the age of 60 living in housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals where congregate nutrition services are provided. The 2022 (gross) income limits for a one and two person households are : Single person = $26,973 annually or $2,248 monthly or  Two People  = $36,482 annually or $3,041 monthly. The individual has gone through proper means testing to support income eligibility. Participants not identified by proper means testing shall not be given SFMNP checks.

Eligible Products: You may purchase CT grown fruits, vegetables, fresh cut herbs, honey and eggs.
