The legal voters of the Town of Westbrook, Connecticut and all others qualified to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Multi Media Room of the Teresa Mulvey Municipal Center, 866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT on July 31, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. to act on the following matters:
Item 1. To consider and act upon the following resolution:
RESOLVED: That the First Selectman is hereby authorized to accept a grant from the Westbrook Foundation in the amount of $10,000 to be used for the Westbrook Park & Rec Tree Lighting Event, and to execute any grant agreement required by the Foundation.
Item 2. To consider and act upon the following:
RESOLVED: That the First Selectman is hereby authorized to accept a grant from the Westbrook Foundation in the amount of $2,075 to be used by the Visiting Nurses for the purchase of physical therapy equipment, and to execute any grant agreement required by the Foundation. The grant amount of $2,075 is hereby appropriated to the FY2019/20 Visiting Nurses Medical Supplies Account.
Item 3. To consider and act upon the following:
RESOLVED: That a sum not to exceed $8,000 be appropriated from the 2019 Engineering Services budget the Public Works West Beach Jetty capital project for engineering and design for the repairs to the West Beach jetties.
Item 4. To consider and act upon the following:
RESOLVED: That a sum not to exceed $12,175 be appropriated from the Public Works Electric budget to the Energy Committee Street Light Conversion Capital Project to purchase the Autumn Ridge streetlights and costs associated with converting same to LED lights.
Item 5. To consider and act upon the following:
RESOLVED: That a sum not to exceed $10,000 be appropriated from the 2019 Engineering Services budget to the Pickle Ball Project for the Town’s portion of the project including fencing.
