LEGAL NOTICE

TOWN MEETING

TOWN OF WESTBROOK, CONNECTICUT

The legal voters of the Town of Westbrook, Connecticut and all others qualified to vote on matters of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held on August 9, 2022 in the Multi-Media Room of the Mulvey Municipal Center, 866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, Connecticut, at 7:00 p.m., to consider and act upon the following resolutions:

Item 1:  To consider and act upon the following, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen:

RESOLVED:  To authorize the First Selectman to execute a certain Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) Agreement with the Connecticut Green Bank, F/K/A Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, a copy of which is on file with the Town Clerk for public inspection.

Item 2:  To consider and act upon the following, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance:

RESOLVED:  That a sum not to exceed $106,000 be appropriated from the ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) fund to the Land Use Capital fund to facilitate the digitalization of records.

Item 3:  To consider and act upon the following as recommended by the Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance:

RESOLVED:  That a sum not to exceed $135,000 be appropriated from Contingency to various department wage accounts.

RETURN NOTICE

            I HEREBY CERTIFY that on the 27th day of July 2022, I posted a written copy of the attached warning and notice of an Annual Town Meeting upon all the sign posts of the Town of Westbrook and all other places designated by the Town.

            I FURTHER CERTIFY that on the 27th day of July 2022, I caused the attached warning and notice of an Annual Town Meeting of the Town of Westbrook to be filed with Joan Angelini its Town Clerk.

            I FURTHER CERTIFY that on the 27th day of July 2022, I caused a copy of said warning and notice to be published in the Harbor News having circulation within the Town of Westbrook.

            I FURTHER CERTIFY that all of the above acts were done by me at least five days before the holding of said meeting on Tuesday, August 9th 2022.
