[ARCHIVED] Beach and Patchogue River Mooring Update!

Beach and Patchogue River Mooring Applications Go Live Online!

Applications for beach and Patchogue River moorings should be made with online mooring by clicking here:  moor-online

The new procedure is that:

  1. The applicant fill out the application online and
  2. The applicant pays on the website.

Upon completion of the application, the information is automatically sent to the Harbormaster for his approval and the issuance of the mooring sticker.  The sticker will be mailed out to the applicant within two days of the Harbomaster's approval.

GPS positions of all moorings as well as an email contact and cell phone information should be included on the applications.

The GPS positions will allow online mapping of all moorings and the contact information will be used for communications such as notices to vacate the mooring field in case of severe storm or notices for mooring renewal.

The mooring tackle requirements for beach moorings have recently been revised for 2022.

Please download a copy of the most recently released requirements document by clicking here:  MooringBuoy

If you have questions, please contact Harbormaster Harry Plaut at (860) 982-7555 for requirements specific to each mooring.

Please note that state law requires all moorings to be marked with a blue striped white ball324230_1
