Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 00230 Carrying Willard Avenue over Interstate 95 in the Town of Westbrook
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Bridge No. 00230 carrying Willard Avenue over Interstate 95 will temporarily be closed starting June 16, 2022.
The project involves the removal of existing bridge deck and raising and rebuilding the bridge superstructure in Westbrook. The work involves substructure repairs, existing bridge superstructure demolition, bridge deck replacement, fence and metal beam rail replacement, and various other improvements.
DOT Project No. 0154-0125 was awarded to Arborio Corporation at a cost of $3,729,340.50 on March 7, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed November 6, 2022. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
DETOUR INFO:
There will be a bridge closure on Willard Avenue from June 16, 2022 through September 2, 2022. Traffic will be detoured onto Pond Meadow Road and McVeagh Road.
