TEST KITS

This morning 1/3/22, the Town of Westbrook, with almost 7,000 residents, has received 495 COVID-19 rapid self-test kits from the State of Connecticut.  The majority of these rapid self-test kits are being allocated to Westbrook’s critical workforce and at-risk populations. This includes Westbrook Schools, Childcare, Police, Fire, Public Works, Healthcare, and identified Homebound residents. Originally, the Town of Westbrook was supposed to receive 900 test kits, which was already not nearly enough for our population of almost 7,000 residents.

After allocating test kits to Westbrook’s critical workforce and at-risk populations, the Town has 115 boxes of test kits for the community to pick up in a drive-through format on a first-come, first-serve basis at Westbrook Town Hall.

This distribution event will occur this Wednesday January 5th, 2022 starting at 4:30pm until the Town runs out of test kits.

Due to the extremely limited amount of test kits currently available, please be advised these test kits must be reserved for Westbrook residents who are experiencing symptoms, or who recently may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Residents will be asked to confirm these criteria at pick up.

N95 MASKS

Along with the limited number of rapid self-test kits to be distributed on Wednesday 1/5/22 at Westbrook Town Hall, the Town also plans to distribute N95 masks to the community. The Town expects to receive enough N95 masks from the State of Connecticut to provide two (2) masks per resident during our first distribution event. N95 masks will be distributed from 4:30pm-8:00pm at Westbrook Town Hall.

We are hopeful that this is the first COVID-19 test kit and N95 Mask allocation of many from our State partners, and we thank them for their efforts.
