The legal voters of the Town of Westbrook, Connecticut and all others qualified to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Meeting Room A of the Teresa Mulvey Municipal Center, 866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT on March 3, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to act on the following matters;
Item 1. To consider and act upon the following resolution, as recommended by the BOS and BOF:
RESOLVED: That a sum not to exceed $19,900 be appropriated from Fund Balance to the School Underground Storage Tank Removal and Backup Generator Replacement Capital Project to address the cost overrun for the project as a whole.
Item 2.To consider and act upon the following resolution, as recommended by the BOS and BOF:
RESOLVED: That the sum not to exceed $15,000 be appropriated from Contingency to the Library to cover a projected deficit in the HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Services account due to unanticipated emergency repairs.
Item 3. To consider and act upon the following, as recommended by the BOS and BOF:
RESOLVED: That a sum not to exceed $30,000 be appropriated from the Fund Balance to the Animal Control Vehicle Capital project for the purchase of an Animal Control Vehicle.
Item 4. To consider and act upon the following, as recommended by the BOS and BOF:
RESOLVED: That the Town accept a grant from the Westbrook Foundation in the amount of $38,000.00 for the purpose of constructing a mounting surface and installing a gear washer, dryer cabinet and hose roller for the Fire Department, and hereby authorizes the First Selectman to execute such documents as may be necessary to accept said grant and receive such funds.
Item 5. To consider and act upon the following as approved by the BOS and BOF;
RESOLVED: That the sum of $1,500 be appropriated from Contingency to Town Clerk payroll account for temporary staff.
