[ARCHIVED] Notice of Special Town Meeting

Special Town Meeting



The legal voters of the Town of Westbrook, Connecticut and all others qualified to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Multi Media Room of the Teresa Mulvey Municipal Center, 866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT on January 6, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to act on the following matters:

Item 1.  To consider and act upon the following resolution:

  • RESOLVED:  That the First Selectman is hereby authorized to accept a grant from the Westbrook Foundation in the amount of $10,000 to be used for the Westbrook Department of Social Services (hearing aids), and to execute any grant agreement required by the Foundation.

Item 2.   To consider and act upon the following as approved by the BOS and BOF:

  • RESOLVED:  That a sum not to exceed $80,000 be appropriated from the General Fund for   West Beach Jetty capital project for the repairs to the West Beach jetties.

Item 3.  To consider and act upon the following as approved by the BOS and BOF: 

  • RESOLVED:  That a sum not to exceed $70,000 be appropriated from Contingency to various department regular, part-time and longevity accounts in accordance with approved Union and Non-Union wage increases.
