2019 Senior Farmers’ Market

Farmers Market

 

The Connecticut Department of Agriculture provides low income seniors with checks that can be exchanged for eligible foods at farmers' markets.

 

Eligibility Guidelines: The individual is 60 years of age or older, OR is a disabled individual under the age of 60 living in housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals where congregate nutrition services are provided. The 2019 eligibility income guidelines are: Single person = $23,107 annually or $1,926 monthly or a Couple = $31,284 annually or $2,607 monthly. The individual has gone through proper means testing to support income eligibility. Participants not identified by proper means testing shall not be given SFMNP checks.

Eligible Products: You may purchase CT grown fruits, vegetables, fresh cut herbs and honey.
